Outstanding insight

Alongside our expertise as family office recruiters, we specialise in recruitment in the trust & fiduciary services market where we have witnessed significant change brought about by government scrutiny and regulation (e.g. FATCA, CRS) all over the world. Some banks have retreated from the trust industry for a variety of reasons (not least the perception of risk) whilst the independent trust market has been subject to a wave of private equity interest in the last few years. Drawn to the sector by the attractive annuity revenue streams, invariably the largest players are private equity owned.

The market is polarised, at one end the larger global players who continue to scale their business and at the other, specialist high end boutiques. This dichotomy leaves very little in the middle as organisations simply cannot make the numbers work due to the increased regulatory and compliance requirements. Consolidation has been a characteristic of the market as a result. Within a geographical context, there is divergence as some centres experience more growth than others and with it opportunities for appropriately qualified individuals.

True House Partners undertakes recruitment exercises across an array of jurisdictions including the Caribbean, Middle East, the Channel Islands and the Far East. Over the years, we have successfully executed a full range of mandates that reflect the specialist make-up of a typical independent or bank owned trust company. Examples of completed mandates include Managing Director, COO, Business Development Manager/Director, Trust Director, Trust Manager, Fiduciary Director, Senior Trust Officer, Head of Compliance and In-house Counsel. This expertise similarly extends to the corporate services market.

In a relatively small market, clients (and candidates) rely on our adherence to complete confidentiality, network and our mature approach to ensure that for any given role, full market coverage is achieved. Depending on the seniority of the role, we can deploy a range of recruitment methodologies to capture the best talent in the market.
